End of Year Recap - 2024

A Review in Photos

Well this year certainly flew by, didn't it? It's hard to remember the rollercoaster that 2024 was when we come to the end of it. I had a lot of growth in both business and my personal life. I am also a sucker for nostalgia and love reflecting on each year. Join me as I do so in photos!

January:

2024 was the first year in the bakery's history that wasn't silent; I was baking here and there and also prepping adorable Valentine's Day items.

February:

February was a really exciting month! It began with a feature headline in the Braham Journal and a few Valentine's Day cookie decorating classes. At the end of the month I finally received my long-awaited edible printer (Biddy Blue) and participated at the wedding fair at Braham Event Center, meeting many awesome couples and sharing about my baked goods (including samples!).

March:

March started off with a LOT of cookies for Granny Mae's catering grand opening! Of course my community education classes at Cambridge-Isanti schools were still in full swing. I also did one of my final custom cakes before switching over to more of a customizable menu that I have available now.

April:

My edible, direct-to-food printer started getting a regular workout in April as I introduced logo cookies! I also decided to start incorporating printed aspects into my custom cookie sets.

May:

May came and went just as fast with my first pop-up at my home, my final class of the season, and the start of the Cambridge Farmers Market!

June:

June was a month of celebrations! Gorgeous graduation cookies left my kitchen and I had the privilege to bake for my sister's wedding as well!

July:

A month of birthdays! (Not just mine!) I also quietly introduced this printed sheet cake on my website, for those that want a custom cake without the full-blown custom cake price.

August:

The end of summer brought new items, like this Realtor gift set, the birthday cookies, and prep for back-to-school!

September:

Some of my absolute favorite orders happened this month! The baby shower cookies were so fun, the cake was a great customization off my menu, and the cupcakes with dainty fall florals were time consuming but absolutely worth it!

October:

October is the best time for weddings, and not because I'm biased! :) It's also a great time for classes (like my new cupcake decorating class) and the return of the ever-favorite Gingerdoodle.

November:

Here's where my memory gets hazy...in a good way! Working with three school districts for community ed classes gave me plenty of teaching this fall -- and a couple private classes!

December:

The grand finale! In December I taught 8 classes totaling over 120 people and 750 cookies! I worked nearly 7 days a week between Thanksgiving and Christmas with teaching and baking for Christmas orders. I may be tired now and still catching up on sleep, but I am SO grateful for all the opportunities.

From the bottom of my heart, I want to thank you. I am so grateful for the opportunities I've had this year to share the joys and connections that food brings each of us. No matter how you've shown your support, I am truly thankful. My heart soars as I bake for your celebrations. Seeing your face at the farmers market fills my soul. Teaching you in a cookie decorating class and watching you make beautiful cookies of you own is satisfying. Not only this, but every opened email, every submitted review, and every social media like matters. Without you, I'd be shouting into a void and baking solely for my family's table. I am honored for the way you invite me into your lives through a simple treat. Here's to you, and to a new year ahead.
