Wedding Policies
The following policies refer to the relationship between Simply Sweet Bakery MN ("Bakery") and you, the point of contact ("Client"), regarding your Order for wedding services.
-
All prices and offered products are subject to change. Quote is valid through date given to Client. If quote expires without booking, a new quote may be required.
-
Wedding orders have a $225 minimum order requirement.
-
Wedding date is not reserved until $50 retainer is paid. This retainer is refundable up to 6 months prior to wedding date. Retainer is applied to total order invoice.
-
Invoice balance is due one month prior to wedding date. If payment is not received one month before wedding date, a late fee of $10/week will be added to the invoice. If balance due and late fees are not paid two weeks before wedding date, the invoice will be closed, the order will be canceled, and $50 retainer will not be refunded.
-
In the event of an overdue invoice, a good faith effort will be made by Bakery to contact Client before cancellation. Canceled invoices cannot be reopened.
-
Delivery is included for venues within a 25-mile radius of Braham, MN. If delivery is outside this radius, an additional delivery fee may apply. Bakery assumes liability of items until delivery is complete.
-
If Client opts to pick up a wedding order, a release form will be signed upon collection acknowledging the risk of transporting the order and transferring responsibility to the Client. This release form will no longer hold Bakery liable for anything that happens to the items after pickup. Collection by a third party carrier is not allowed.
-
Weddings booked less than three months prior to wedding date may incur a rush fee, which will be declared in the quote.
-
Delivery time, special instructions, and emergency contact person will be added to Client's file no less than two weeks prior to wedding date. Client is responsible for providing accurate information, including contact information, address, phone number, and wedding date.
-
Bakery will not be held liable for late delivery in the event Client did not communicate correct delivery time, special instructions, or emergency contact information.
-
If order is canceled by Client for any reason, 100% of the retainer fee ($50) will be refunded to Client if the cancellation occurs at least 6 months before wedding date.
-
If cancellation occurs within the 6 months before the wedding date, invoice payment will be refunded, minus $50 retainer. Retainer may be transferred to a new date and occasion at the availability of Bakery's calendar.
-
If cancellation occurs within 1 week of wedding date, 50% of paid invoice (minus $50 retainer) will be refunded to Client.
-
If order is canceled by Bakery, Client will receive a full refund of any payment, including the retainer. Cancellations on Bakery's end are rare, but could happen for reasons including but not limited to: illness, act of God, or inclement weather.
-
While Bakery strives to provide accurate information, all cake servings are estimates. Bakery does not provide cakage service; Client must arrange cakage service with venue or caterer.
-
Client satisfaction is Bakery's priority. If Client was not satisfied with the order for any reason, please contact Bakery within one month of wedding date to discuss how to make things right.
